The second edition of Taipei Art Week, which opened on October 18 and runs until November 2, has received significant acclaim since its launch. Together, these two major art events highlight Taipei's vital role in the international art ecosystem, reinforcing its status as a key destination on the global cultural calendar for galleries, collectors, artists, institutions, and art enthusiasts.
Claudia Chen Ching-Ying, Chairperson of the Taiwan Art Gallery Association, said: “ART TAIPEI 2025 has proven once again that Taipei stands at the heart of Asia’s ever-evolving art landscape. This year, we collaborated with Kiaf SEOUL and Art Jakarta to launch The Collector Circle and share resources across our VIP networks, reaffirming the fair's role as a dynamic platform connecting regional markets and strengthening the local art scene. We were excited to see strong sales across our exhibition zones, including the placement of works by many indigenous artists, resonating with this year’s theme of “Intersect: Diversity Equals Togetherness”, as well as from our MIT (Made in Taiwan) program. The second edition of Taipei Art Week was also successfully presented alongside the fair, dedicated to nurturing our local art community and showcasing the depth and diversity of Asian art throughout the city."

“Asia Art Center has participated in every edition of ART TAIPEI since its establishment in 1992, having never missed a single year. This year, with ART TAIPEI taking place alongside Taipei Art Week, the event attracted a remarkable number of collectors and academic figures from abroad. During this period, galleries across Taipei also present exciting exhibitions, filling the entire city with a vibrant and dynamic artistic atmosphere. On the first day of the fair, we successfully sold 60% of the works showcased at our booth. In addition to local Taiwanese collectors, we also welcomed new collectors from the U.K., Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, and Korea. Among the artists we exhibited, works by Li Chen and Ju Ming received tremendous attention. Li Chen’s three-meter-tall monumental sculpture “Soothing Breezes Floating Clouds” stood out as a centerpiece of the entire fair.”

“We’re thrilled that the 14 sculptures by our represented Korean artist Jisook Jung received overwhelming attention and lively discussions from visitors as soon as the fair opened. All of the works were sold out before the end of the first day, reflecting strong enthusiasm from collectors. The positive response even drew interest from government representatives regarding potential future collaborations. Around 95% of the collectors we met at ART TAIPEI were new faces, making it an excellent platform for expanding our network. Sales of other exhibiting artists were also strong, with particularly positive feedback from interior designers and architects.”

“This year marks our sixth participation in ART TAIPEI. Many collectors have expressed their appreciation for the design and presentation of our booth. Beyond meeting new collectors, one of the most exciting aspects was the meaningful exchanges we had with several international scholars and media representatives who showed strong interest in our program. Our overall sales grew by 20% compared to last year, with all works by artist Liu Xin sold out and significant attention drawn to Japanese calligrapher Hisashi Yamamoto. ART TAIPEI remains the most important platform for showcasing art in Taiwan.”

“For ten consecutive years, Red Gold Fine Art has been a dedicated participant at ART TAIPEI, once again spotlighting its represented artists to showcase the vibrant and diverse energy of contemporary art. This year, Liu Chia-Wei’s Forest Series once again drew strong attention from major collectors at home and abroad, while Lu Hao-Yuan’s vivid colors and distinctive compositions made him one of the highlights of the fair. Over the past decade, we’ve grown alongside our artists, witnessing their creative breakthroughs and artistic maturity. Whether it’s the experimental spirit of young talents or the profound depth of established creators, these are the most valuable assets of Taiwan’s contemporary art. We look forward to connecting with more international collectors through the platform of ART TAIPEI."
