Ji Sook JUNG’s work primarily consists of clustered clouds, organic forms (that seem to be in motion), and vivid primary colors. When we observe our inner world, it feels like leisurely swimming in a massive cloud, and I translate that intuitive sensation into these clustered forms. Additionally, the work contains many organic shapes that appear to capture fleeting moments of biological motion—each form expressing “life” in its own way. I aim to visually convey the ongoing physical and sensory activities that arise simply because living beings are alive (and must stay alive). Here, “living beings” do not necessarily refer to individual organisms, but rather symbolize all things in motion and transformation, including all life forms, the organically connected societies they form, and even the vibrant inner world of humanity.
