Daiki Fujimori | Wunderkammer Chunk_Omnia II | pendrawing | 50 x 50 cm | 2024

Born 1988 in Hyogo Prefecture, currently resides in Kobe City, Japan.
He creates pen drawings and miniature paintings using ink and transparent watercolors as well as pens with pigmented ink as his main medium.
His ultra-fine pen drawings are so depicted that at first glance they could be mistaken for prints, and are warm and nostalgic at the same time.
In recent years, he has released the wunderkammer series.
The term “wunderkammer” translates to “room of wonders” or “mysterious room,” and refers to a natural history gallery that collected various curiosities made in Europe from the 15th to the 18th centuries.
The attraction of a solo exhibition is that each piece is gathered together and the gallery is produced by the artist as if it were a museum.
The works are so detailed that they can only be painted on the palm of one's hand, even after eight hours of work a day.
Visitors are always impressed and amazed,
The paintings are so detailed and precise that they cannot be seen with the naked eye, so magnifying glasses are always on display.

A series of spherical works of more than 100 different kinds of plants and animals in different scales. The large animals are drawn small and the small plants are drawn large on the fine pen drawings, and the magnifying glasses are set up at the exhibition, making it a popular work for viewers to appreciate as if they were observing.
